Ouch sore subject here. Thanks for all your help guys, I have no intention of paying the guy hundreds of pounds but He is a friend of mine as such so just wanted to pay him what a wrecked hull is worth so will give him 100-150 pounds. Im not really bothered about the rare side of things as this is my first project ever with boats.(bit off more than I can chew). I will restore the boat but it may be a case of the interior gets modelled on what it should look like with new materials as i cant see me sourcing original bits. Must say the boat thing has got me hooked and I have bought a second project already lol. while talking to various people yesterday I bought a Marshan 16ft speedboat. An ex racer and have found 1 entry on the net for when it raced. Its got Hydraphobia wrote down the side and has all its controls and tank still. Needs the transom repaired then I think she wants a good clean and paint and should be good to go. I see this boat as a start on the funds for the biggen. Anyways enough waffling on. Thanks again you guys this boat restoring thing is bigger than I ever expected lol.
