sloopy, linux was originally a shareware (free) software package that emulated (acted like) the operating system known as unix. now, who knows what all linux can do. since it was free to be modified, customized, and enhanced by every college nerd/hack - it is probably better. ;) <br /><br />too bad windows 2000 caught on so well... old unix/linux junkies can only hope for the best.
