Hi idle

Hello,
The other day I fired up my motor to test the water pump. All was well except the idle was kind of fast. After about ten minutes the motor was warmrd up and I thought the idle would slow down. I'm afraid if I put it into gear I could damage the drivetrain. Where is the idle speed screw? Since I have 3 carbs, does each one have it's own idle speed adjustment screw? Another thing I noticed is I get no throttle response until the handle is 1/3 to 1/2 up.
I have have a push button choke. Any help would be great.

your idle set screw is on the tower shaft, your throttle cable will be connected to. its got a slotted head with a lock bolt to hold it in place

Fast idle? How fast??? Out of the water it will sound like it's going fast.
It sounds like the cables and linkage and shifter need adjusting.J
