Re: Hidden files in file path? Winders 7
Yeah. You can do it from Winblows Explorer too.
There's was absolutely something going on yesterday on this site and others (noted in the attack message)
I tried to view iboats from two of my company (XP Pro) computers last night and Internet Explorer (7.x) initially loaded the site, then froze AND THEN closed all by itself.........(sort of indicating it loaded either a javascript payload or a ActiveX payload)
After a couple of reloads, both computers locked up and gave me strange multiple window messages indicating a file problem and Winders needed to restart

eek:

)
When I got home, I tried it on this computer and Firefox indicated an "Attack Site" and the message that a few people have already gotten.
I switched to
Konqueror and no problem. (but there would be no problem because Konqueror is a Linux web browser!)
Now the "attack" appears to be resolved.
I get asked all the time why I use Linux as my main internet access computer....... (besides being free, no virus's, no defrag, and no problems, This is one of them)
If you want try it, go to one of the following sites (they're absolutely safe!)
http://www.opensuse.org/en/
http://fedoraproject.org/
http://www.ubuntu.com/
I use the first one on this and 2 other computers.
I have also tried the other 2 and they're pretty good too (it's sort of a Ford/Chevie thing!) "They" claim that Ubuntu is the most popular.
Cheers,
Rick
