We're looking at purchase of (for us) a pretty good investment in power cat (Glacier Bay). Boat weighs approximately 5500 lbs dry and is rated for maximum of 300 hp. As we do a lot of fishing (trolling) and normally fish with 4 adults, I'm thinking anything less than dual 150's would be too light. However, long term reliability, lack of fumes (smoke) when trolling are important considerations. Appreciate thoughts from someone who spends much time with outboards. Thanks...
