If that were true wouldn't there be thousands of them needing replaced every spring? Go to a different dealer.

Re: High Pressure fuel pump

i dont know about the condition of your fuel.
all i know is that if there would be bad fuel in the VST it for sure can damage the high presure fuel pump.

fuel these days (depending on where you get the fuel) has a shelf live.

specialy fuel containing ethanol.

Fase seperation hapens and wil seperate the fuel into basicly water and bad fuel with very low octane.

the propblem is the water in the VST.
it will sit there and rust the heck out of your high presure fuel pump.

is this what hapend to you i dont know.
is it possible ?
yes, very likely.

all i can say is do your preventive maintenence.
- stabilize your fuel
- change fuel water seperator anualy or every 50hrs
- change Engine fuel filter every season
- change high presure fuel filter every other
season.

and use the boat .
