The indictment, rare for a political campaign, was unsealed in Los Angeles charging David Rosen with four counts of filing false reports with the Federal Election Commission. The charges focus on an Aug. 12, 2000, dinner and concert supported by more than $1.1 million in "in-kind contributions" -- goods and services provided for free or below cost. The event was estimated to cost more than $1.2 million.

Dredging up the past is not a justification for Duhbya actions......
Clinton took the heat, now he can......
I'm gonna guess that Bill waited 'til the end to pardon most of those people.......
Duhbya could have waited too.....
Except that 'Scooter' would have sung like a canary, & brought down the real perps.....;)
Now he gets a free pass & a job at Haliburton......
Frankly, I don't really care, the damage is done.....
That's just the way its done, & that what pardons are for, to cover up all the Shiite.....
The last honest president was Harry Truman anyway......

Yep. like Clinton did with the terrorist organization FALN by pardoning 16 of them.
Of all the pardons a pres could pardon, he pardoned the non-pardonable. God won't.

I believe Carter was honest. An abject failure, one of the worst of all times, but honest.

Commutations by Clinton

http://www.usdoj.gov/pardon/clinton_comm.htm

I did not do a 100% check but it appears that

a) individual had already been serving time
b) individual's sentence was reduced
c) individual continued to serve the remaining of the time left of the reduced sentence or they were released immediately with or without conditions.

Under no circumstances was an individual not serving their sentence at the time of commutation.

In most cases those serving time had been serving a good portion of their sentence.

Didn't even have to look Tree,

See Marc Rich.

International crimminal, and large contributor to the Clinton library and gentlemans club. Not one day in jail. Just took his private jet overseas. But he is good to go now! :)

If you want to get stupid the rumors are that Slick and Marc shared a wife from time to time. But would this surprise anyone, really? If this rumor is true, at least she was one of the willing victims. Unlike so many others.

President Bush commuted the sentence of a member of his administration who was convicted of a felony. President Clinton did wrong in pardoning ?Mark Rich?, who by the way was a client of Libby?s.

Here are a few snippets of Libby?s testimony before the House committee investigating the pardon:

<< Facing intense questioning from Rep. Paul Kanjorski, D-Pennsylvania, Libby hedged on whether he thought Clinton's pardon was justified, infuriating the congressman.

"Did you represent a crook who stole money from the United States government, was a fugitive and should never have been given or granted a pardon by the facts that you know?" snapped Kanjorski.

"No, sir," Libby responded. "There are no facts that I know of that support the criminality of the client based on the tax returns."

Libby then said prosecutors from the Southern District of New York "misconstrued the facts and the law" when they prosecuted Rich. "(Rich) had not violated the tax laws," said Libby.

At a later point, Libby said he thought Rich was a traitor for his company engaging in trades with Iran at a time when that country was holding U.S. hostages. "I did not condone it, I didn't advise it, I don't admire it," he said.>>

Notice the weaseling/evading and yes; most likely lying .

Now the part about the topic of this thread, I will state that ?Hillary stinks?, just to keep my little finger, on the topic pole.:D
