Santa is now taking requests. What kind of boat would you like in your stocking? And, why do you think you deserve it?:joyous:

92 Viking. There's no particular reason I deserve one.

Re: HO-HO-HO, children!

That 1980ish $700 21 foot aluminum empty hull with a trailer that I watched on Craigslist for over a month while I pondered how to fit it into my garage. The day I figured out how (put the truck in reverse, close my eyes and back up the boat really quickly, then build a lean to over whatever stuck out the back) it disappeared. I'm holding out hope that Santa purchased it for me!

EdgeWater 247 with twin 150 Yamahas. Because I've been supporting charities through donations and God knows how many people through high taxes- damnit -- it's time for me. Sadly, I'm too old and will be happy with what I have.

I want my boat but I want it nice and polished with a good wax job for next summer.
Should be good for the elves.

Well..I could think of quite a few, but realistically, a Contender, 28' Tournament with twin 200HP would do the trick but only if I could keep the Grady as well. Fishing a center console n the wintertime suxs

:joyous: After my last 2 CCs I swore nothing but a cuddy. My EdgeWater has a small cuddy that is great for storage and a place for the ladies to have privacy and a porta-potti. Never a thought about water coming in over the bow. My fishing friends used to think I had it good behind the windshield of the CC but I froze as they did in the winter. The canvas roof with glass above the windshield stays up all year. Heat is not a problem. Now the curtains are up. With a little sun we are in T-shirts even when the temp is low 40s. With 66' sq ft of open deck there is room for 4 to fish more comfortably than on CCs a little bigger. Winter or summer the ex is the best fishing platform I've found. Why I went to CCs after larger boats is a question I cannot answer other than it was a mistake.

1. Just about any Feadship

2. Tiara 5800 Sovran

3. And much more realistic - new gel coat on my Century Resorter.

Probably no reason I 'deserve' it, but I am a nice guy.

This would work nicely. Add a couple pedestal seats, an electric motor, a kicker trolling motor, and some electronics and I am good to go ...

why? Because I am such a swell guy!

I'd like a guarantee that the 26 Carver Command Bridge I've contracted to purchase in the spring, will survey and run as good as it looks on the hard. And that my Four Winns will sell quickly, at a good price. Why do I deserve it? Because my life will be a living hell if Linda doesn't get that Carver.

(I know, that's 2 wishes, so I wish for 2 wishes, too.)

Any boat big and comfy enough to allow me and my 6-8 best friends to have a Texas Hold-em tourney outside on the deck, with small individual coolers to hold each players select libation. Perhaps a server of the female persuasion offering nothing but good food and drinks to all invited. Would require a driver, so the players can focus on the cards, even though I would win anyways. Hey it's a wish, may as well wish big!!

My first boat was a cuddy but crawling out between the windshield to pull an anchor in rough seas wasn't going to get it. I started fishing more and more tournaments and the lack of protection from the elements finally forced my hand and I moved up to the W/A with the hardtop and full enclosure. Best move I ever made for Bay fishing, however...not the best boat for running 30-60 miles offshore. The Contender would do that just fine.:joyous::joyous:

Re: HO-HO-HO, children!

Last year I asked for a Nortech 5200 Roadster, but I got socks and underwear. This year I'm not being quite so greedy- A Sutphen SXX 21 with a Mercury Racing 525 EFI will do nicely. And Santa, a yellow one please, and a prepaid fuel card.
