carbs rebuilt among other things. when start motor at first runs great then when she warms a bit idle tapers down and she purs like a kitten.OUT of the blue idle begins to jump around from 900 to 1200 rpms then holding at 1200 for a while and finally stalls

Does bumpin the primer or squeezin the fuel bulb make any difference when this happens? Does it always happen or intermittant?

at times priming keeps the engine going sometimes nothing helps . at woa 5000 rpm then runs out of gas have to pump ball then prime the engine alot to get it going even with aremote tank.

I'm going to take a stab at guessing that you are sucking air at some point between the tank & the carb. That would explain the rpm pickup at idle and stalling plus running out of gas. Let us know what you find.

Dont let it run out of gas at 5000 unless you have the oil injection hooked up. Even then its not a good idea.

Since you've eliminated the fuel delivery system to the motor, I might be inclined to think its a fuel pump issue if pumping the bulb keeps it going. I think youre on the right track. Let us know if that works.

If you are stalling at wide open throttle and the fuel bulb is soft, I'm leaning towards an air leak or restriction (both?) between the tank and the VRO.
I would inspect carefully before throwin parts at it. Don't give up!!!
Good luck
