SD530054.JPGUgly ist it? Ok I suppose my question is where do I start. This is on a 1989 Bayliner and attached to an OMC 5 liter High Output engine which is in great shape. Is the whole drive shot? What are the chances that I can get away with just replacing the lower half. Also I could use some good suorces for rebuilt or used units.

Thanks

Re: Hole in lower OMC Sterndrive

Im not sure exactly what year it is. I believe its an 89. It is a 5.0 liter OMC gear case. Yesterday afternoon it started making a loud noise. When I got it out of the water, there were the holes.(There is another one on the other side.) I do know the drive was rebuilt 3 years ago.
