Ok,
I am going to try to explain this as clearly as I can. I have taken the lower unit off of my 88 Force 125, it is the 1251X8C model. Once I removed the lower unit, and looked up in the exhaust, at the very bottom of the leg, where it begins to bend, I found a hole about the size of a dime. It seems to be pretty perfectly round. I am not sure if this is supposed to be here or not, it goes through to be right beside the water tube, coming up from the lower unit.

Does anyone know if this should be here or not? It looks as to that it could be, because when the engine is tilted up, any water that is still in the exhast will then roll down, and drain out of this hole, which is why I am not sure if it is supposed to be there, or if it has deteriorated through and created the hole, due to water sitting on it. It doesn't seem to be all rusted or corroded or anything, just a few jagged edges.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan Cox
