This really should be in the stupid tricks....

I've been listening on the news the past two days that the airport(s) now have a line for slow people (families, etc.) so they don't feel rushed.
A slow line - whodathunk?
I'm just totally perplexed shaking my head agape over this.
I mean it's not there's crowd at any airport jogging through an express line...or did somebody forget to tell me about this?
No matter what, everyone is funneled through security. It's not like the metal detectors are lined up like cashiers at Super Wally World on Black Friday.
It doesn't matter if you're the first or last one to hit the pier.

And yes I've traveled through major airports on major holidays with family (including kids of all all ages and elderly with walkers and multiple canes who can't move faster than the speed of smell.

As someone that flies 3-4 times per month, I appreciate this.

I hate getting stuck behind "newbies" that have NO CLUE, NOR CAN READ signs telling them what they can/cannot do, or carry on.

Don't get me started on the TSA. I HAVE stories.

I'll be sure to stay out of the slow lanes....lol. I'm flying to Vegas this Sunday and while I'm looking forward to a few days of R&R, I'm not looking forward to the airports...

What's stupid about having separate lines for rarely-traveling families, with 3 kids, diaper bags and a stroller, or confused elderly people in wheel chairs?

The other lines will be for seasoned business travellers and those others who "know the drill", who can remove shoes and open bags in seconds.

A great idea to flying better for everybody, IMO.

I'm with DJ . . . Good thing. I show up 45 minutes before my flight and all is good, and yes there are checkers like at Walmart. I always pick the line without strollers . . . ;)

I think most with children will see this as an *** backwards solution to the problem-making impatient/frustrated/tired children wait longer.

Rather than having a slow line, maybe they ought tot 'float' extras to help assist getting parents w/children & strollers through more quickly.

A fustrated/tired child is just going to lead to more tantrums on the plane. I don't think it will make things 'better' for everyone. It will lead to traveling families becoming relegated to a separate line where small children will stew in their wait (as if adults don't already) and fuss on the plane.

I'd like to relegate them to a seperate plane. . .   :)

Hey, I have kids too, don't throw anything. Alright, to make up for it I'll change your baby for you. Yes, even on the plane while Mom enjoys a cocktail that I'll buy with one of my coopuhns . . . Never mind. Happens when you fly almost every week . . .

Today's air travel is more like moving livestock than it's ever been.:confused: Only more expensive.
