Holley carb

Hi, just wondering I have a 3.0L Mercruiser and I have the some problem as most other users, Flat spot, of idle, it has been rebuilt (by a very good mechanic) and he said it is they way they are,

My question is, Holley make a range of marine carb's would it be worth while changing,
The engine runs fine apart from the of idle stumble.

I'm guessing it's a two barrel holley, they all have adjustabilty, changable jets, power valves, accelerator pump cams, there are air/fuel mixture screws, fast idle adjustment, float height ect ect.
An off idle flat spot can be cured through some minor adjustments, the accelerator pump shot would be the first easiest adjustment I would look at, and depending on how the air screws respond can be a hint to other adjustments being out of range.
A good carburetor guy on board with tools on a slow weekday could dial that carb right in.

I haven't seen many posts that it would indicate that it was a normal thing on a 3.0L Mercruiser. I would think your current is a rochester or mercarb, and would not bother switching to a Holley.
