Any competent carb shop should be able to rebuild it easily. It isn't special just because it's on your boat (other than the j-tubes which shouldn't need to be touched).

Look for an actual part number on the carb and see if you can look it up that way.

Ok with so many choices for my holley 2300 for a rebuild kit can some one help with what is he correct one and a good place to order from. A local shop is going to do the rebuild and tune for me i just need to order the rebuild kit.

Get the list number from the choke horn, it will be stamped in and look like "LIST 6317-1". Then call Holley tech support at 270-781-9741 between 8 am and 6 pm CST Monday - Friday, and between 9 am and 5pm CST on Saturday. They will look up the carb, and tell you what renew kit you need. Don't guess on this, as there are MANY different Holley 2300s out there, and getting the right jets and Power Valve for your application is CRITICAL. Your boat will not run right with the wrong kit in it. While you have them, ask what the CFM is, the Jet size and what Power valve it should use. Then write that down in your manual for future reference.

SummitRacing.com has many renew kits in stock, and everything I have ever ordered from them has come in 2 days just using the basic ground shipping service. Prices are less than my local NAPA, but YMMV.

When you get the renew kit, double check the jets and Power valve are the same as the Holley tech told you.

FWIW, Holley carbs do most of the work with a metering block. Once you open it up, it's just the jets, power valve, a block of metal with a bunch of holes (the metering block), and the gaskets. The jets and Power Valve screw into the block and that's it. Setting the float is the only adjustable part on the Holley 2300 2bbl, and that is done externally by turning a screw. Oh, there are the air bleed screws, but they are external too, and you just turn them in till they stop and then back them out 1 and 1/2 turns. You can fiddle with them if your idle is uneven, but most times you don't have to touch them.

Holleys get talked down because they are simple compared to the Q-Jets and others, but they are simple to rebuild and work well. Most anyone could rebuild one successfully.
