I have been thinking about incresing my bait capacity, I have 1/2 scoop round on my swimstep now. My boat is a 22ft robalo and has a 200 johnson mounted to a custom alum bracket, the way the bracket is built the weight is distributed low on the transom. I want to know about if I could fabracate a fiberglass bait tank also supported mostly from the bottom of the transom and not adversly afect the strengh of the transom or the handling of the boat? By cusstom building a tank I could spred the weight evenly across the stern and incress bait to ??? how much weight do you think I could safely add here? the math to know what the water and bait? Would putting some of the tank below the water line hull be an idea? I am just brainstorming here so any and all thoughts are welcome, lets hear it guys and girls!!

1 cubic foot is approx. 7 gallons...water weighs about 8lbs a gallon.
Not sure what you mean by "below the Hull", but you want nothing protruding below the bottom of the transom.
I think backing up would cause some issues as water comes over the back on occasion...

I meant to type "below the water line but above the hull"

It would be fine if you could figure out how to attach it properly.
Would it be in a position for easy access???
