I made this contraption out of used stuff I had laying around the garage, i'm hoping I can keep alive eatin size, I used to just put em on ice but it would kinda fun to try and keep them alive.

Neat idea, very ingenious and a good use of materials.

Does it drain into your splashwell?

Let us know how it works keeping 'em alive....

Overflows to the spashwell and drains to the bilge, it's easily portable to another boat, the little pump just attached with zip ties, 12v wire banded to hose with big wire shrink wrap. I'll probably only good for baitfish.

Wow never thought about the bilge on the outside of the boat like that! What! What a great idea!! Thanks!! Im going to make something similar. And i bet that even at wot it wont hurt the bilge cause there is no water there. Just have to remember to turn it off! Good Job!!!

that rocks! I have seen some cool homemade livewells before - but none with that bilge pump idea. we just replaced our with and automatic - might use this idea with our old pump!
