The deer have been marauding my garden this year. After putting a several of them in the freezer I had to come up with some repellant. After searching the web and trying several different potions, I've found one that seems to work quite well. Its been 3 weeks and there hasn't been a track in the garden and no pictures on any of the 5 trail cams I have trained on the garden.

The potion is as follows:

4 eggs
1 tblsp of minced garlic
1 tblsp of Cayenne pepper

Put this in a blender with just enough water to puree' really well then pour that in to a pump up sprayer. Add a gallon of water, set it in burnin hot sun and let it purolate for a day, then spray your garden plants. I'm tellin ya it works like a champion and best of all is......ITS CHEAP !

My dad just uses the cayenne pepper mixed with water with no other ingredients added. He hasn?t had a problem in years with deer tearing up his garden. I don?t think you need all that other stuff you?re putting in.

I have found the best way to keep deer away is for me to go hunting.. they never come within 200 yards :(

I did the "just cayenne pepper"......didnt work here. I figure I could cut out the pepper and garlic and just use the eggs. They're funky enough by themselves.

Maybe your not using enough cayenne for it to work alone. My dad grows those peppers so he always has plenty of them. Either way your recipe works for you and thats all that matters.

Hmm, the deer eat the jalepenos, habeneros, and rooster spurs out of my stepdad's garden like it's candy. He now keeps a mean dog down there on a very long run.

Yall have some tough deer.
Most of the subdivisions that have the landscaped entrances over here just use cayenne pepper on them. The landscapers are the ones that told my dad about it.

Friend uses dried blood around her garden to keep the animals out ... she CLAIMS she gets it from the farm supply store.

I have seen deer come back and lick the spots where other deer had dies recently, I dont think the blood will scare them...
