I just recently bought a 5hp Honda, the older blue one's, and I have a couple questions!

1. Does the oil light always stay or is there something wrong?

2. What fitting do I need for the fuel line at the engine? Is it a standard type or a honda only?

Thanks
Michael:confused:

Unfortunatley Most of the help here is fellow boaters and there just aren't as many Hondas out there.
As far as the fitting check the fittings in the Honda Fuel parts section here at iboats.
I know nothing about Hondas Guessing the oil light needs to be out.It may indicate
the reservoir is low when on or more likely low oil pressure like in a car.
You do know that Honda is a 4 stroke?

Thanks I do know it is a 4stroke. That is why I asked about the oil light. I downloaded the owners manual off the net and it says the light is suppose to be on while in operation. The fitting also turned out to be the same as a omc/johnson/evinrude connector. Lucky me.

I would double check on the light, seems like it should be out with the engine running? Can you call a honda dealer?

I did double check the light thing and it is correct to say on while running. Thanks for all the help.
