honda 7.5???

good afternoon,

i have never posted here...so here goes...honda 7.5 Model #bf75s...sn#1402936......what year?....

in line fuse (on the left side) cover was dry rotted and i changed the fuse from 5 amp to 7.5,,,any issues i need to know about? do i need a cover or can i use heat shrink? or do i need anything?
whats the rubber cover for, behind (near) the gear shift lever? looks like some kind of electrical socket...one horiz., and one vertical reciever holes...???hooks into some type of box in the inside of the engine cowl....where the spark plug wires and the in line fuse is...

changed gas and put one capful of "star tron" in the new gas...cleaned it with degreaser and wet rag...remove plugs and they are clean...won't start....was running 2 weeks ago....cleaned up very nice..normal scratches....prop is in good shape...what size shear pins?

picked up motor, engine stand, new gas tank and lines, six spark plugs and an oil pump for 400...no manual...

good morning,

hey i found a manual on line....now to get it running...new oil, new gas....????

the plug is for a charging kit....where can i get one??? no in line fuel filter, so someone has worked on this motor in the past....

will work on it tomorrow!

good evening,

got it running....smooth...found corrision on the distributor mounting post brackets, three minutes with a file and plenty of fire,,,,.found oil leak, under fly wheel...will look for parts....any suggestions, i think its the seal under the fly wheel...no exhaust smoke...tranny works fine...

started on the first pull about six times and the last one, waited 30 minutes...will try in the morning....
