I Have A Honda Bf130 That Has A Cracked Block My Local Dealer Is Telling Me That This Is Not Covered By The Warranty Extension For This Issue, the Cooling System Has Scaling That They Are Saying Caused The Engine To Overheat And Crack But The Buzzer Has Only Came On A Couple Of Times Which I Would Clean The Water Lines And Go On.does Anyone Know Of This Issue? I Feel This Should Be A Covered Repair. Thanks For The Help

I have connections at a honda dealership and my personal feeling is that it's BS that they are not covering it. I will check the TSB and let you know of any such restrictions. One thing that I can tell you is that Honda loves to take care of the customer even if it means throwing the dealer under the bus now and then. Like I said, I will check the details and let you know.

Well, sadly there is a part of the bulletin that states to use some discretion about whether or not to warranty the cracked block based on age, use, corrosion, etc. The best thing that you can do at this point is to call Honda's customer service number and ask them to reconsider.

Hi,
Yes and all the dealers are aware of it.Honda has a problem on BF-130 head cracking, and it has an extended warranty of 10 years. If your VIN numbers fall on those series the company has to provide you a replacement head wether it has scales or salt or anything except a crash.

Cheers good luck
