No not at all. I've had ads flagged for no reason whatsoever and its a pain, I agree. I just thought this was humorous that someone called this guy out on his misrepresentation and took the time to redo it for him. I'm sure it'll be flagged and deleted in no time.

Don't shoot the messenger.

I get flagged all the time for no reason.
But,I just figure it is a free service and every nut job is on there and half the ads are scams or BS...
It is what it is.....

Sharp looking truck otherwise. I've always liked that body style in the 3/4 ton Fords.

You have to be flagged by three separate user i.p. addresses before your ad goes to a live CraigsList moderator for review and a decision is made to remove or let it stay. If you are being flagged you are doing something wrong.

I'm not a Craigslist moderator so I can't comment on that, but I can tell you that when I post up on there I type the body in MSword so I can copy and paste the info since they get flagged all the time. I just wait the 48 hours and repost THE SAME ad and it will usually go thru.

Getting 3 friends from 3 separate IP's to flag an ad that competes with yours is easy to do.

And I agree with Gary, it's free and I sell stuff all the time so I don't complain much either.

Re: Honesty on Craigslist

How can you rewrite someone else's ad? Did he just post a new ad with the same pics etc and change the wording?

That's what I'm thinking. Don't know of any other way it can be done. BTW, I've never been flagged. Maybe I just haven't posted ehough....

Well he just saved someone else a drive to Detroit to look at a steaming pile. It looks good in the pictures but the price should be a big hint that something is wrong. In good shape that's easily a $20,000 truck.

I've never been flagged but we have had the pleasure of dealing with some giant flakes.

$13,900 is about the going rate for that model truck, you would never be able to get $20K for that model truck unless it had a built engine. The maximum you could get for a completely stock '03 F250 with the 7.3, with roughly 100,000 miles is $16K-$17K

That is the going rate in MI and the truck is in Detroit. It wouldn't shock me at all to see that truck in the paper for 18-20k. You can find that model for 13,900 but it would have 250K plus miles on it. The 7.3l is a very desired engine around these parts and 2003 is the last year for them.

I guess he didn't rewrite it, just wrote it and posted it along with the original. I just pointed it out because people's actions never cease to amaze me.

And I have nothing to do with either of these guys, just pointing it out. ;)
