Today, don't forget to say a prayer or simply say thanks for the countless veterans who have fought for America's freedom in foreign lands and here at home. Remember, our country is only the "Land of the free" because it's home of the brave.

Don't forget we are still fighting a war; every day our brothers, husbands, cousins, uncles, fathers, and sisters are patrolling the streets of Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and the Philippines, so we can enjoy boating without the fear of coming home from work and discovering that our children have been shot or blown up by suicide bombs.

The Sgt Major showed us this today in JROTC, very moving video.

Re: Honoring Veterans and our troops

I was in college after high school in 1969 and didnt get to go into the service. Plenty of friends did. I married an army brat and her brother like her dad were career army. My dad was in WW11 and one of the first americans to enter and liberate the german concentration death camps towards the end of the war, He was also in the battle of the bulge (only time he saw the officiers take off their bars). Believe me I respect our servicemen and women .

Thanks can never be said enough to the vets, past and present, and the people now serving this great Country we live in.
It is those people that makes it possible for us to do what we like and to have the freedom we do.
A big salute and a big thank you from the spinner's house.
