Yup, it was a bright warm sunny day at the Butte. My Dad and my Brother were out to fish for white bass. I had rigged and was fishing from the front. My Dad was fishing from the capt. Chair, his Favorite spot.
My Brother was by the New 115 Merc. This was 25 years ago. The Boat was a 17' Mark Twain Trihull. My Brother turns to my Dad and asks about the Very Large Bass Plug he had in the tackle box. My Dad tells him it is for large mouth bass and he should not use it. Well he wanted to try it. Dad said no leave it there. Well he tied it on anyway as he should cause he was 11 years old. My Dad did not see this and was bending down to get us all a drink from the cooler. When I hear OWW!!! OWW!! and see my brother just whipping his pole like he was stuck but...it was my DAD he had 4 of the hooks in his back and my brother was tring to throw the plug in the water for all he was worth. Every time he yanked my Dad screamed! Well he got my Brothers attention with his mildly violent language.
He did not say these words often but with my brother yanking the lure for all he was worth well. Any way after using the pliers to remove the hooks, barb and all he tossed the lure in the water and I doctered him up with the med kit. He then prceeded to run over the lure repeatedly till it was no more. We had a great time after that and caught a whole bunch of fish.

I will not tell you the time my Brother ran the boat up on the bank trying to play James Bond.

.

.

.

.

.

.

He almost made it.
