I installed a new gauge cluster and am having trouble getting the RPM gauge to work, it revs while cranking but not while running. Check continuity from coil to gauge that checks out. How the heck do you hook this up anyway? Here is a shot of the gauge

One positive and one negative terminal on the back of the gauge, and one pole each for the oil, temp and RPM.

What does the white wire do for the trailer lights? both rear lights just have a brown and a green.

Thanks

Re: Hooking up the RPM gauge and trailer lights

1. Tach: Is the signal wire attached to the correct terminal on the coil?

2. Trailer: The white wire is the ground. Give it a solid attachment to the frame; those lights ground through the mounting studs.

The tach wire should be hooked to terminal that does not go the the distributor?
