Water collected in the sump of the middle storage area won't drain under the gas tank to the rear bilge. Has done this since new. Is the gas tank too close to the hull or am I missing something? Any experience would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I had the same problem withmy 220 horizon.
The drain hole in the ski locker was cloged with carpet from the factory.
Clean the drain holes and you should be fine.

Don't know if you ever got this resolved, the question is nearly 6 months old. Mine was similar problem, but the dealer had to fix it. The gas tank had shifted in transit from the factor and pinched the drain hose. They had to move the tank and re-brace it to hold it in place. Works great now.

Hmm, I'd like to know how they are securing these tanks in the newer FWs. In my old one, the tank (alunimum) has mounting tabs welded to the tank. There were wood mounts attached to the central stringers that the tabs were screwed to. When I rebuilt mine, I saw that the tank was in a compartment with a floor section built up that was at the same level as the ski locker. Limber holes in the front and rear bulkheads so it could drain. I made stronger mounts out of mahogany to mount the tank and made braces to brace the floor hatch over the tank.
