I can not find the ratings for my eng. I was told that it is 160hp. It is a 1994 G W Invader and thinking about putting on a different prop for pulling the tube because the one thats on it is a 21p and thinking about trying a 19p high five.
Eng. OF-267475
Transom num. OF-329447.
Stern drive num. OF-245522
Also if someone knows can you tell me where I can find these things on the net. Thanks for any info.

Re: Horsepower rating

Sorry, I wasnt really asking about the prop rather than the hp rating. I just put the part about the prop in there because I think a high five would be too much prop for 160 hp. Everything I have read, the 4.3 around that year their ratings where all around 175. I was just wandering if it is 160 what the diff. is between what I have and all the other ones. I know some have 4 barrels and they have higher rating. Sorry for the confusion, kids been eating easter candy all day and its hard to concentrate. Thanks

Re: Horsepower rating

with the 4.3L GM Blocks the things that make a big difference in HP are the Carb and Heads. Vortec heads add some HP as does a gas dumping 4 barrel like I have. I just put a 14.5 X 18P Stainless 4 blade on my 1996 4.3L Vortec motor and I expect that it will be perfect for hole shot. Had a 21P Stainless and a 19P alum both 3 blades and neither had any hole shot. Course this was on a 20 foot boat. You need to figure out Max RPM's before you do anything else.
