1988 150 blk max<br /> Just got my motor out of the shop. Runs great!<br />My question is : there is a hose comming out of the wiring harness into the motor right in front of the starter. Goes into a brass 90 elbow. Another hose after the elbow going nowhere, I looked around to see where it goes , beats me. <br /> Thanks, Dead Eye <br />Edit: Hose is About3/8 dia

most likely some one had a pressure guage set up and disconected it B4 you aquired it. <br /><br /> Ben

Hose is most likely for remote reservoir tank.The fitting under the starter is the pulse hose and if I understand correctly then the other hose is the return from the tank.

hello<br /> its a 2psi check valve.<br /> the oil flowing from the remote to the engine tanks line has this valve. the design allows oil to flow from the engine tank and allow the level to drop and the alarm to work in the event of a remote tank obstruction. dont plug it off.<br />good luck and keep posting. <br /> in other words it will allow air in in the event of a hose obstruction
