Hot spark ignition ?

Anybody ever hear of hot spark ignition conversion kit ? I was planning on keeping points cause they work period. But was curious if they were junk or ok to say buy them as a replacement if something happened to my points out boating. I seen them on ebay 49.99 alot cheaper than others ive seen sierra, pecrktronic. but could be reason its cheaper

Not junk, but far cheaper to keep spare points onboard than a module! 'nutcase

Hot spark worked fine for me. I did the conversion on a volvo 4 cyl. Worked good for me.

yea thats what i have a 4 cyl volvo. but it replaces condensor to ?

everything.... Just need a hot and cold source and you are good.

Hot Spark brand is working fine for me in an AQ130D. Just keep in mind that it doesn't fix anything, it's just a different type of switch.

yea i dont have any problems with it but i seen alot of people that changed to electric from points and i found this one for 49.99 vs 129.99 and 150.00 so fig i couldnt go wrong if they were ok. Does the coil need to be changed or that can stay stock ?

as long as it is in good shape the coil should be fine
