Re: Hotfoot
Brian,

I have a 20 foot fish and ski that originally had a hot foot on it. i removed it because i do quite a bit of shallow running though rivers with large rocks in them. With the hot foot, i couldn't stand up to see the rocks as well and had to stay glued to the seat. That was the main disadvantage for me. The only other thing that bothered me that was on long runs, over an hour, it was much easier to just put the hand throttle down and go than to keep my foot on the pedal all of the time.
The advantages are that it is nicer to ski/tube with, you can keep both hands on the wheel which is quite a bit safer/ and the throttle response time is quicker becaue you don't have to grab for the throttle to change speeds. I wish they made one that you could use either the hand or foot throttle. Most of all, i think it's just wahtever you are comfortable with. good luck,

Steve
