I agree. The mosquitos don't bother me much, but those no-see-ums eat me for breakfast without DEET.

DEET- N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide-- it's the active ingredient in OFF, REPEL, etc

thanks for the info, I booked a house in Islamorada. We where thinking of a house boat, but the weather that time of year could be hit or miss for a houseboat.
We just need to book a charter for fishing and scuba diving.

Islamorada is a short drive to Marathon. As I posted above, I recommend The Abyss Dive center in Marathon for diving.

I agree, Fireman......the best. It has kept mosquitos off of me in the Everglades National Park....and green heads off of me around Rustic Island, NJ. Those are two... almost impossible....feats!

DEET is very good stuff but man it makes me feel a little weird if I put too much on or get it anywhere near my mouth or eyes. We've been using the Thermacells here and the Keys with good success against mosquitos and no-see-ums.
