The teak looks nice, but I'm all for low maintenance.

Hey Boomyal,
How slip resistant is the Nautolex? I'm with you on the carpet issue...Hate it. I never understood why every one thinks it is a wonderful thing for runabouts.

TR, it is very slip resistant. However it is not too aggressive on the bottom of your bare feet but you would not want to crawl around on your knees on it for very long.

Thanks Boomyal. I am looking to replace the carpet in my "new to me" boat.

I still have scars on my knees from knealing on the stuff. my engines are below deck so I was always knealing on it and the last time was the LAST time :)

61, all you have to do with teak is oil it evry now and then - that's the beauty of teak...

Not much beat teak but it is expensive, rather
heavy, needs to be cleaned+oiled once a year or
so. Nice to walk on. I have teak on the floor in
my small boat and like it alot.

My boat: All teak is fastened with sikaflex to
the fiberglass floor and also stainless screws
with special low heads and teak plug epoxied on
top on screws. It is rather much work but it is
very nice to look at and walk on when finished.
