Re: How about some photo's of your Trophy
Hi Frank; Got me what the FF really stands for. As I just got this boat w/ trailer at what I really think is a steal last month. It needed some minor stuff to bring it to excellent like new shape. So I've had to shop around to fix the small stuff that stupidly fell to neglect. So I called the dealer by me which is out in LI 100 miles away from me and he says it stands for Fish Finder I say BS. But the trophy web site has it listed as FF too, for the 2000 - 2002 WA with no explanation. Yes I know wa = walk around and that the difference between the DX and LX is the size of the motor and the Pro series has a bigger engine and the wash down installed. But as I said as It needed some parts I wanted to and still do want to know as much as I can to help me make it perfect.
So I've repaired the bad horn $30
4 rail bases due to a hard docking $28
The front aqua signal Nav lights due to getting on and off via the bow pulpit and or not paying attention to the anchor rode and using the cleats to hold it in place, changed them to rounded low profile perko's at half the coast $30. and they look better too.
The Bimini canvass was worn out w/ broken zippers and he couldn't locate the side panels. Order a replacement Sunbrella with front and sides installed using the good existing frame from Leta's top shop $850. w/ s&H the back full length drapes are like new.
Changed the hull mounted fuel vent on the side of the hull $16. don't know how that was snapped off either
Other than that stuff he never used like the still wrapped up Potty, he just whizzed over board so I hooked the potty to the holding tank.
Swapped out the old original Cassette stereo for a Bigger CD/MP 3 player remote stereo system $100
Changed the bad trailer winch $30.00
Next thing is a to install a gas water filter/separator, the keel rollers about $50 for all
Due a Spring tune up and change the water pump impeller for I'd say around $350.
Also looking to swap out the scuppers for ones that seal up like John Q advised rabuds or some others that you can unscrew the cups to clean out. Now this boat also has a radar arch w/ rocket launchers, perko SS rail rod holders, a JRC 16 Mile radar, a Garmin chart plotter GPS w/ changeable data cards all wired together to the Cobra VHS radio. A flush mounted into the dash rise Furuno FCV620 color fish finder, digital fuel gauge monitoring system all fully working.
I took it out for a test and found it ran flawlessly as it was December and still in slip. All on board pumps worked, trim tabs and motor trim tilt worked good, as did the steering too. Did a Compression test and found all 6 cylinders to be at 120 PSI. The engine hour meter state 329 hours
The guy was getting married and it was also week before Xmas so he wanted to sell bad.
Now to you as a guy who owns one, How much do you think its worth? and I tell you what I got it for no BS
