How and where to fit a water pressure guage and sender ?

I would like to know where on the engine to fit a water pressure sender, what exactly i need.

The idea of a water pressure guage seems a very good idea to me, to keep check on whats going on.

is there a bolt i replace to fit a send etc

i installed one a few months ago , just ran the tubing straight from the tell tale at the block all the way to the gauge, works like a charm.

can't see a stream of water any more out the back but one glance at the gauge and you can see exactly what water psi is going through the motor. i find it great and should have done it before now, for piece of mind.

what sort of water pressure do you get from the tell tale at the guage.

is there a typical pressure that i should be looking for or an average etc ?
