This post about pets, being cats or dogs, brings to mind that a pet collar with vet/vaccination tag and the name of the pet and owner with address will make a person who finds it think that the animal is cared for and wanted. As far as the humane trap keeping said cat trapped for 5 days needs addressing. Talk this over with the traps owner, "traps are supposed to be labled with the owners name." Have the law on your side if at all possible.

And they must be extremely expensive too..........the only one I've ever seen was owned by some uberrich Rusky!!

sorry to hear about your cat rbh.
cats are people too imho..... better than some people for that matter. like take your neighbor for instance...
since i can't control my neighbor, i'm proactive in keeping control of my cat. to me, my cat is much more important than my neighbor... and my neighbor's an alright guy. but he don't have cats, he has dogs. so i don't think he really likes it when my cat goes to his side of the line. which i try to prevent at all costs... though i'm not always successful. when that happens, i feel my cat is at risk to all possible consequences. and it will be my error if he get's into trouble...
i've had plenty of different cats over the years too. the ones that got in trouble, and they always did. it was my fault and this is why i've become proactive in keeping them under my thumb. for my cats safety and my peace of mind that my cat is not gonna be harmed by whatever means... and there are plenty of possible means out in the world too.
that said, it really makes me sad to read stories like this where the cat is harmed by people... people can be so cruel..
