How are live wells filled with water ?

Are live wells on Bass Boats filled with water via the aerator , or are they self filling ?

...on our Bass Tracker, the live well is filled via a pump in the stern, through tubing to the aerater head.

And some of them have a thru hull seacock and high speed pickup....

Hey Capt. Sam..how ya been? Coming to the get together? Lots of great trout flats outside of the river....;)

We'll probably be making a trip or three offshore..sorry for the derail..:)

Livewell pumps that are fed with a high speed pickup will fill with the pump "OFF" when running, which can confuse some people because they know their pump is off, yet the livewell filled. If you don't want it to fill, close the shut-off valve in the bilge.
