How bad is my ignition coil?

According to the service manual for my mariner 25C 695, the primary ignition coil should measure 1.6-1.3 ohms. I measured 2 ohms. Is this a big deal? Should I replace it?

Too early to tell if motor runs. Going through an overhaul and trying to eliminate all possible issues.

and don't forget that the multimeter "leads" may read over 1 ohm on some, my fluke leads read approx. 0.6 ohms.

Most DVMs aren't acurite enough to measure down to fractions of an ohm. Way high resistance, continuity to the secondary winding, or an open circuit would be cause for concern.

I can not remember a coil meeting manual specs on my dvm. Do not replace it unless that cylinder will not produce spark with either coil. Buy yourself a nice tool instead.
