How can I find out what prop this is?

So when I bought my boat it came with an extra prop. The seller (My father-in-law) installed the current prop because it provides incredible hole shot and he is a slalom skier.

I was trying to figure out what prop this extra one is. If you can see the picture, it came in a box that is used for multiple props and has check boxes to indicate which prop it is. Unfortunately, none of the boxes are checked.

My father in law installed the current prop about 14 years ago and does not remember where or why he acquired the extra one. He does know that it is not the prop that came with the boat from the factory and it looks as though it has never even been installed.

It has several numbers imprinted on it, can I use these numbers to identify it? I am happy with my current prop but an extra would be nice to have. I just want to know what it is.

google those numbers stamped around the hub. xx-xxxxxx-xx is a mercruiser style p/n

There are those here that may be able to identify the numbers.Usually there are numbers in the area under the prop nut.
The present prop may be letting the motor over rev. What is the wot rpm and gps speed.
Get us the numbers off both props.

The prop currently on my boat is (AC Quicksilver 48-16316-19).

The boat runs about 5,500 RPM at WOT. I have never measured the gps speed but the speedometer reads about 53 MPH.

The number on the other prop is (48-78120-19).

The one on your boat is the SS 14 X19. The aluminum one is also a 14 X19.

Looked in one of my older Mercury prop catalogs.

You could also find out with "Google".
