I NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT YEAR MY ENGINE IS TO ORDER PARTS. LOCAL PEOPLE HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE IT OUT. ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

Photographs posted on your service and linked here would be a good start. Look on the engine block for a nickel sized aluminum convex disk with numbers.

ive only found the serial number on a freeze plug.its a 28 spl johson around '86 to '95. ican email pics dont know how to put them on here.thanks again
