My boat has these scratches in the gelcoat that I tried the "Evercoat" DIY repair on and it just came right off, and looked bad when it was on there. I did have success using that on some deeper scratches but these are pretty shallow, they just look bad and I'd like to get rid of them. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Check out some vids on youtube. I saw one where they fixed scratches like yours by wet sanding with several progressive grits of sandpaper followed by three progressive grits of buffing compound.

Welcome to Iboats mate ..

Yea.. you just have to wet or dry sand these scratches down then buff them out.

Some might not sand down all the way before you start going through the gel so be careful on those deeper scratches.

It takes time for a beginner taking scratches out of gel .. patience .. work your buffer. Dont be afraid of moving back to sandpaper if needed.
