How can i make 71 50hp evinrude standard shift not hydroelectric

i have purchased a great condition 1971 50hp hydro electric shift engine, i want a standard shifting engine i have a 76 55hp and 77 55hp both with powerhead problems but great lower units, is it anyway to put the 71 and one of these together to make a convential shifting engine.
