How can I raise my 1977 1150 Mercury because I want to add oil to the power/trim unit

I can't figure out how to manually raise the motor to add oil and work on the power/trim unit. I read that the motor needs to be up to add oil. I tried putting it in gear with the motor off but that didn't work. I also looker for the flat head screw to release it like many other motors but didn't find one. Even when I do get it up it's going to be tricky because it's tucked into the battery area on this Larson. Bad Larson! Any ideas?

Is the motor / reservoir not mounted inside the boat.----Pictures of your trim / tilt cylinders ?

It is mounted inside the boat tucked way back in the battery storage area by the inside transom. I'm going to get a short screwdriver and give it a try but the clearance is tight. My Seloc manual says the motor needs to be up before I add fluid. The control make noise when I push the two upper buttons but it won't budge. Don't lend your boat to your kids.

The manual tilt valve is on the bottom of the pump.
Turn it fully clockwise to tilt the motor up.

As Alumarine says, turn the knurled knob, at the very bottom of the PTT motor/reservoir. Now take an Ibuprofen and grab the gearcase with two hands and lift it to tilt it. Initially it will be difficult, but will get a bit easier. Use the manual tilt lock (dog ears on midsection) to hold it up, or alternatively a 2X6 piece of wood between midsection and transom bracket.

Fill with either 5W-30 motor oil or Dextron ATF, whichever it already is using.

Pump is self bleeding. Trim cylinders may need bleeding.

After filling, drop it down manually and tighten knurled knob.
