A "cupped" prop has a slight "cup" on the trailing edge of each blade, supposed to provide better performance under certain conditions. Go to web site: Michigan Wheel-Ballistic Props and it should explain in detail. My prop is cupped but I doubt I'd ever notice the difference one way or the other, the pitch and diameter are the most important technical features. Good Luck!

Cupping is when the trailing edge of the blade curls into the water flow. Some do it just at the tip, some do it the entire blade length etc. Different cup length and amounts have different effects on handling.

If you don't think you would notice the difference - run it back to back with an uncupped prop - make sure to to a couple of hard turns under power.....

I found that cupping make a huge difference. I would not have believed until felt it myself.

Not the hijack this but anyone know which company makes the prop with the most cupping ? I am having a tuff time finding a prop that match the cupping on my old prop. I am starting to think it was "reworked"

The turning point hustler props are really aggresive. But my impression is unfortunately the results seem to be all over the place almost to the point of seeming to be miss marked.
