how do I add a steering wheel and throttle to 1985 25hp Mercury???

Hey guys I'm currently working on a bass boat style convertion on my 15 ft smokercraft and I was wondering how I would add a steering wheel? I would like to build a small console and mount electronics and things. Is this very hard or expensive? This is my first boating project and I would appreciate the help.

You can build a lot of simple things pretty cheap. A cable system with a lever on the side of your boat, push it forward go left.. pull it back and it goes right.$100. This is good for small motors 10 to 15 hp. A side console box with Teleflex steering system and wheel with switches and ignition $250. Motor conversion to remote with cables and controls $800 with starter. I did mine real cheap I used an old Gale control from the 60's and made my own linkages.
