How do I deal with corrosion around a stuck bearing housing?

I have an OMC 800 low end that I'm trying to get housing off of. The first one I did came right off. The second OMC low end has aluminum corrosion around and between the bearing housing and the out drive. I have the drive tilted up and am putting hydrofluoric acid around the corroded lip every 30 minutes or so. Any other ideas on how to get this thing loose?

Heat it up till she sizzles then let cool tap around with a mallet spray some penetrant repeat if necessary, acid ! the corrosion is bad enough as it is, what are you thinking?

The acid eats the aluminum oxide. I know it will also eat the aluminum so I am using is sparingly.

I'm still in fresh water only. I move to the salt water next year. Yuck.
