How do I disasemble this mid section

I am in the disassembly process on this 1953 Johnson Seahorse with a 5 hp TN28 motor. All was going well until I got to the Midsection. I took the bolt out that squeezes the bottom piece to the pipe like sleeve. I don't want to hammer on it to much or is it threaded? The pictures may explain it better than I did. Thanks in advance. I have a manual for a 56 to 70 johnson in PDF that cover 1.5 to 40hp and Im checking but dont see much in there.
