Alright....I've been looking online for about 3 weeks now trying to figure out what pitch prop I have. I've read enough stuff about props, adn can recite prop theory in my head, however I am yet to be able to decode the numbers on my prop to ID it.

Heres what I have, it comes from a 1979 MonArk 17' flat bottom with a 50 Merc:

Here is the nut mounting surface of the prop. No markings.

This side has what appears to be an "S" stamped in it

These numbers are: "0 3 1 0 1 9"

MWC "Michigan Wheel Corp".
031019 (I think you copied it wrong)10 1/8 X 15 Force,Chrysler,US Marine,Mercury.I find it hard to believe it fits all those motors as some are through hub and others are not.Perhaps you need to specify the motor.
I got this info from the Michigan Wheel site.

A guess but the last two digits..... 19 is your pitch.

Steelespike...good catch, sorry about the typo. The motor is a Merc 50 horse, not the bigfoot series.

I can't thank you guys enough. However, I do want to know how you did figure this out.

Once again, me and my wife can't thank you enough!

Re: How do I figure out my pitch?

Here is a very simple method if you don't have prop catalogs:

Google or yahoo search the part number: In your case, type "propeller 031019" in the Google or Yahoo search box. About 25 responses pop up. Don't type just 031019 as that gets translated as a date in history and you are not interested in the year 1919 at this juncture!!

Some of us have the books to cross this number, or look it up in the price sheet. silvertip and I both knew when looking at the hub, it was likely MWC or Merc....I knew it would be the same as my 70hp small gearcase used by the double pins for the lock, but silvertip is on top of things...faster than me too...:D
