How do I find the year of my suzuki????

Hey guys. I have a suzuki 225, which when I bought it, was told it was like a 96 but want to double check. The serial number on the plate is 22501-461078. Is it a 2001???? Thanks!

hi,,, please help me ihave a suzuki dt 75 and i have looked up everywhere to try to find out what year it is and i have even looked at browns point website.. so if anyone could help that would be great... the serial number is

could anyone tell me the year of my suzuki dt 115 i lloked on browns point but never could find out what year it was it dont have a number at the end of the number could anybody please tell me what year i have the serial number is 11502 710716

I have been reading all your posts and still confused. I have looked everywhere even brown points and still cannot find the year of this motor. it is a DT55 serial number is 05501-808304 could you please explain how your determine the year, this all the info on the mounting plate. thanks

The chart shows the beginning serial # for that year
the 8 at the beginning of the second part of serial # helps to indicate the year 1988

710716 indicates 1987

how do you determine that whats to say its not a 98 the chart on brownspoint doesn't show anything to match that serial number it stops at 97. thanks

Apparently they did not make a DT55 after 97 otherwise they would list it and the serial # would start out higher if it did.
