How do I get this trolling motor started?

Here's a pic of me trying to start my trolling motor:<br />

<br /><br />No matter how hard I yank the rope, the dang thing just won't start! Could it be flooded?

Ya need to check the rotational rectifier, and verify the in-line energy trans-verter is operational, that or just pull harder

Ya got the wrong person in the drivers seat, only those wearing pfd's should be able to operate the trolling motor. I'm sure the little-un on your right side would happily show you how. Some times it takes a simple mind to solve a simple problem (found my new signature line)

Bet you forgot to put the key switch in the RUN position before trying the rope start technique.<br /><br />or<br /><br />Could be you were using nylon rope instead of poly or cotton. Too much stretch and loss of angular velocity at the flywheel resulting in less than required RPM's to trigger the magnetic field collapse across the ignition coils resulting in a no spark condition.

You did not give it enough gas and holding the cord the wrong way... give the gas cord you are hold to the lil one onyour right and he have it going in a sec...

You need to check your fuel line for blockage and your fuel pump might be malfuntioning.

I don't see the 'kill switch' lanyard hooked onto ya.<br /><br />Clip it back on and that will allow the ignition circut to engergize.
