How do I indentify my OMC 3.0

I have just purchased Corsica Sunbird 175 with a OMC 3.0 I see that there are ones made by Ford and Gm. How can I tell what mine is. I've looked around but cannot find info on making this Identification.
Model 302BMRPWS.

3.0 is a GM marine/industrial engine

It is still made and sold by GM as the Vortec3000 if you want to google up more info

If it's a GM it will have the "GM" casting information on rear starboard side of block just before bellhousing.
