how do i reg a trailer without any documents

i brought it years ago and he didnt have reg.its been sitting for ten years now and looking to sell but no want it without reg.location state of pennsylvania. i tried to contact own buy never called back.

Are there any numbers on it ?

In my case, the trailer didn't have any identification numbers so I took it into DMV.. They made me take it down to the sheriffs office to look over & add an ID sticker.. I then took it back to the DMV, filled out the paperwork, paid the fees ($150 or so including reg), and got a title, plates, etc.

This was in Oregon BTW, each state will probably be different.

you're going to have to let us know what state you are in because it will vary from state to state...some states are easier to register as Home made vs others. Do you remember who you bought it from and are they still around?...if they are the last registered owner and you can get their cooperation it will be easier.

In Illinois where I live you can just go to the DMV and register it as a home built trailer based on it's weight capacity and number of axles.
